Obsidian flame pre-orders are live!

Previously we revealed that Obsidian Flame was confirmed and on its way. Today, the pre-order is live and the product list is available. The products and cards look ferocious and breathtaking so you'll definitely want to get your hands on as much product as possible. The major draw to Obsidian Flame is that it features Charizard. By the time it releases we will have already gotten content featuring the Paldean starters and its legendaries. Now we are taking a look backwards and featuring the most recognizable and popular Pokémon of all time.

Paldea Evolved Pre-release Promos

Paldea evolved is right around the corner and the pre-release decks will be available on schedule. The pre-release decks are a really fun way to break the ice with a new set and get a little taste of what is to come. New Pokémon Center Product Drops For MAY

The Pokémon Center has yet another launch of products for the month of May. This month continues the trend of Paldean Pokémon and the promotion of the ex starter sets. This month's featured Pokémon are Pawmot, Todescool, and Houndstone. Most of the products are great for beginners and add a splash of uniqueness to a young trainer's battle decks.

More good news from Yu

Yu Nagaba has delighted the Pokémon community with not one but two limited edition set releases. His unique art style and charisma has appeared on playmats, promo cards, deck boxes and so much more. Recently we reported that a second wave of content is going to be released, this time focusing on the eevee-lutions. Now Starting May 20th, a whole clothing and brand line is also going to be available.

Pokémon's Newest Expansion Revealed

Word spreads fast and the latest news is the upcoming TCG expansion on August 11th. The newest English set is known as Obsidian Flame!

The set will feature delta species (adjacent) Pokémon including a dark type Charizard. This mimics the early 2000’s sets and the off type Pokémon it focused on

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Pull Rates

The cards are out and our friends at TCGplayer have run the numbers. The conclusion is that things are different this time. We're looking at the pull rates and rarities of the newest Pokémon TCG expansion. The biggest takeaway is that all the cards in any given rarity level all have approximately the same pull rate. Typically, one card in any set of alternate arts, for example, will be way harder to pull than the others. Like how the Charizard alt in brilliant stars is harder to pull than the Honchkrow alt. In Scarlet and Violet they are equal.

Real life Pokémon Heist

Team Rocket has struck again but this time in the real world. Recently, a picture has been floating around of a table full of stacks of Fusion Strike hits. The products were reportedly stolen and the Pokémon company has been looking into the scandal.

The investigation concluded in 2022 but fans are only recently seeing the story. The next question from fans became, “did they affect our terrible fusion strike hit rates?”
