Pokemon TCG: League Battle Deck Palkia VSTAR

Palkia VSTAR dominated the competitive landscape for quite a while until Arceus came around. It was the only set to dethrone the absurdly powerful Mew VMAX. Naturally, it's time in the spotlight has come and gone. Trainers have moved on as new cards have come out. During the hype Palkia VSTAR was an expansive card. Now however, anyone can get in on the action with the Palkia VSTAR League Battle Deck. 

The deck works by pairing Palkia with Radiant Greninja and Inteleon to move energy around and deal some serious damage. Greninja’s Moonlight Shuriken can pick off small basic Pokémon on the bench and his concealed cards lets you draw extra every turn for only one energy. This is a perfect match with Palkia’s Star Portal which lets you bring 3 energy from the discard pile onto a Pokémon. The cycle is vicious and destructive. 

For a long time after its release the Palkia VSTAR card ran for approximately 25 dollars and the deck ran 3 of them. This made the deck unreachable for younger or beginning trainers. It has since plummeted to 5 dollars per card. Now that the deck is more attainable we might see the deck in more casual play. With the League Battle Deck coming out in May, even more people will be able to run this extraordinary deck.
