Why Buy & Grade with AGS?

Why Buy & Grade with AGS?

AGS (Automated Grading Services) is a new grading service that launched at Collect-a-Con 2021 by a group of passionate card collectors. They were fed up with the bias and tediousness of the typical grading method. The team developed the software to scan a card and return with a hyper-accurate grade. They have since exploded in popularity and have begun to pave the way for A.I. grading.

So why should you get your cards graded with AGS? Do the results match the hype? Here is everything we know about the grading process with AGS.

Every single card is mapped from top to bottom using cutting-edge laser and artificial intelligence technology. These computers don’t miss a thing and they never have a “bad day”. You won’t find any bias or inconsistency with AGS, unlike many other companies. With EVERY SINGLE CARD sub-graded using AI, you know EXACTLY what you are buying or holding EVERY time!

.

This Umbreon VMAX found on eBay is priced fairly cheap, a worthy candidate for a regrade with PSA to increase its market value.

However, after checking the detailed subgrades on AGS’s website, I’ve learned this card scored a 7.00 on back centering.

.

After zooming in on the back image provided by the seller, (also provided by AGS on every card) you can see exactly why this card didn’t score a 10.

.

The back is off center quite significantly left to right!

Thanks @agsgrading for clarifying exactly what this card is, and what it’s worth!

Additionally, every card is actually unique and AGS’s Robograde technology will pick up on those identifiers and create a fingerprint of your card!

This means AGS machines can identify the same card you had graded, even with it removed from the slab!

These are some reasons we are choosing to submit our cards to @agsgrading! Stay tuned, we will be providing a middleman service for anyone interested in having us submit their cards for them!

Happy collecting fam!
