Since Brilliant Stars released in February of this year we have seen a burst of amazing artworks from the alternate art secret rares and the addition of the trainer gallery. The subset was well needed since hit rates from Chilling Reign and Fusion Strike were very low. With Lost Origin officially behind us, Lets recap some of the coolest and rarest cards the last few sets have to offer…

Lost Origin -

The art in this set reaches new levels. There are two uncontested leaders that every collector is after. Giratina and Aerodactyl V alternate arts. The fossil pokemon is soaring over his domain like a king comfortable on the throne. His subjects are many of the other dinosaur inspired Pokemon. Aerodactyl is currently selling for $140.00 and you only have a .5 percent chance of pulling him. That's 1 in every 665 packs.

Giratina dominates the abstract landscape. The Lord of the Universe soars through creation on a card that sets the senses alight! Giratina sells for $230.00 and has about the same chance at 1 in every 720 packs.

Astral radiance 

A lot of the cards in this set hold value for the players of the TCG. Many VSTAR cards are used in competitive decks. For collectors however, the set was hit or miss.

Machamp is undoubtedly the most exciting card. He is not posing for the camera; he is living in the environment we see. The card is a glimpse into the world of Pokemon and how diverse any one moment can be. Did you spot the Diglett in the foreground?

Machamp sells for about $110.00 now but he is absurdly rare. His card pulls at about 1 in every 1,234 packs.

Our other Astral superstar is the Dialga V Alt Art. She is the essence of majesty. Pulling the card myself took my breath away. The color explodes onto the card and the Lord of Time sits front and center. The artistry on these cards continue to surpass expectations.

Dialga sells for $48.00 and pulls at 1 in every 864 packs.

Brilliant Stars

Brilliant Stars has had a long time to settle, so the value of these cards are essentially set. The value and rarity don't exactly go hand in hand but unsurprisingly Charizard is the most expensive. The rarest however, is the golden Arceus which plummeted in value all the way down to $32.00. It's a dazzling card for the God of Pokemon, but many artworks in this set look better.

The Charizard for example, is an epic battle between two Pokemon titans. We are eager spectators in a scenic forest arena. We tune in during the action as Venusaur goes in for a powerful vinewhip.

The card pulls surprisingly often, 1 in every 490 packs, yet values as the most expensive Brilliant Stars card - $192.00
