Pokemon TCG: Snow Hazard and Clay Burst
It is crazy to think that the second Scarlet and Violet expansion is already slated and ready to go. But word has spread, Snow Hazard and Clay Burst have become available in Japan on April 14th. Pictures have started to spread and we now have images for a majority of the cards both common and rare.
The set features 4 legendary Pokémon that take the form of cursed objects. Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu, along with Chi-Yu and Wo-Chien. They represent the four perils of Chinese mythology. Additionally, dragon type cards will be making a reappearance for the first time in the Scarlet and Violet.
Between Snow Hazard, Clay Burst, and Triple Beat the cards in each set will make up our next English set known as Paldea Evolved. Which is set to release on June 9th.
Our combined set will include:
- Over 190 cards
- 15 Pokémon ex and three Tera Pokémon ex
- 36 illustration rare Pokémon
- 18 ultra rare Pokémon ex and eight ultra rare Supporter cards
- 15 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
- Nine hyper rare gold etched cards, which can include Pokémon ex, Trainer, and Energy cards
This set will be expanding on some of the new card types that Scarlet and Violet base introduced. There will be more Tera Pokémon to go with Gyarados and Arcanine. There will be a whole new collection of illustration rare cards. The rainbow cards are still a thing of the past and now the set features the starter evolutions!
Virtually all of the cards from illustration rares to hyper-rare cards have been revealed. I'll put up some of my favorites here. \
