Pokémon TCG Crown Zenith: What are we Chasing?

Pokémon TCG Crown Zenith: What are we Chasing?

Now that Crown Zenith is out and Elite Trainer Boxes are available everywhere, we can tell how rare, and how valuable, these cards have turned out to be. Pokémon has held nothing back for the Sword and Shield Finale and some of the prices reflect that.

Let's take a look at some of the most exciting pulls from the set and find out how lucky you got pulling them. All our data here is thanks to the dedicated work of TCG player and the wonderful journalism of TCG Player Infinite.

Some of the more common Galarian Gallery cards are earnestly some of the cutest and most magical. The sleeping Mew surrounded by a forest of Pokémon friends and the derpy Ditto grazing amongst the herd are collection necessities. They don't come close to being the most expensive or the most rare, but we love them the same. Thankfully for us, it only takes 1 in 4 packs to find a non - V Galarian Gallery card. It should also be noted that the Mew does command an impressive $15.00 price tag.

The radiant trio for this set includes Eternatus, Charjabug, and Charizard. It is no surprise that everyone's favorite and the most expensive is the Charizard. The price on it already includes the famous Charizard Tax. I don't believe the price will remain very high (currently $12.00) because the hit rate for any radiant is 1 in 22 packs. Which is right around 2 ETBs. You are pretty likely to stumble upon one. Hitting charizard specifically however, is 1 in 50.  This nothing like the Zard’s of sets past. This is a charizard for the masses.

The Full art trainers in this set are phenomenal. Cards like Sabrinas ambition and Gardinas vigour amplify the connection between people and pokemon. Full art trainers are about 1 in 105 packs and the galarian gallery trainers are 1 in 8 These new cards have made trainer cards just as desirable as the pokemon.

One of the most anticipated cards is the Mewtwo VSTAR. The card was teased in the Charizard VSTAR card from the Ultra Premium Collection. It takes the opposite perspective of a raging battle between the two fan favorites. The card commands a serious price tag of $117.00 and has a rarity of about 1 in every 250 packs.

There are 4 gold cards in Crown Zenith. One for each of the masters of the universe. They are currently the rarest and most expensive cards in the set. And with good reason. These cards stand out from the rest not only with their royal gold color scheme but and absolutely dominant artistic design. The level of artistry on these cards is other-worldly. Their rarities and prices are listed below.

It will be exciting to see how the value of these cards progress as Scarlet and Violet takes the stage but I know personally this will be a set worth completing. Come down to Nexgen every week to see which cards we have in stock and Trade in whatever excess you have. Don't forget to pick up any Crown Zenith Product you need and more at Pokemonplug.com
