Metazoo x Revive Skateboards
On April 15th, 2022 MetaZoo joined forces with Revive Skateboards to make one of the most sought after TCG accessories of all time. For $99.99 plus shipping, you could purchase a "promo card deck box" that only came with 2 cards. The first was a full holo-foil version of one Cryptid Nation rare card. There were 10 cards that you could receive completely at random. Cards such as Loveland Frogman and Mothman were available among many others.
The second item was a promo card that you could scratch off and find a code. This code, redeemable on the MetaZoo Marketplace website, awarded you the skateboard deck for the same card that you pulled. The decks have incredible artworks and collecting them all still proves to be a near impossible task. Only 2,000 boxes were made which means only 4,000 cards exist from this set. The codes are long since sold out. In fact it only took 1 hour for all 2,000 to sell.
Getting these today is an expensive endeavor. The sealed boxes don't sell for less than 200 dollars and the board prices vary based on rarity. However, boasting the full set would shock any serious collector.
The first run launched on April 15th. Then they released a second wave for Nightfall on May 13th, 2022. That launch lasted 2 minutes before they all disappeared. Finally, the Wilderness wave launched on July 9th. This one lasted 5 minutes. It only gets more difficult to attain these boards.
However, UFO hasn't gotten skateboards yet and there has been no announcement of a release as of yet. With Séance right around the corner we should expect to see more boards being released.
